Sentricon® Termite Colony Elimination System
Our primary approach to solving termites is through the installation and maintenance of the Sentricon Termite Colony Elimination System. We were the first company in the mid-Atlantic region to test (1994) and become an authorized operator (1995) of the Sentricon® Termite Colony Elimination System to control subterranean termites. Since that time we have installed well over 1000 Sentricon Systems at private homes, condominium and townhouse communities, and commercial buildings.
In the spring of 1998 we installed the Sentricon System at the White House after termites swarmed inside the building. There has been no new termite activity in the building since that time as we continue to monitor for new activity.
The Sentricon System is a very environmentally-friendly approach for protecting structures from subterranean termites. It eliminates the colony, while being non-disruptive to your home. You'll be seeing your professional technician frequently as the Sentricon® stations are regularly monitored to protect your home against termite attack. There's no termiticide odor, no drilling of tile or interior areas, no disruption of your home.
The Sentricon System uses Recruit™ termite bait to control termites. As termites feed on the bait, it is spread throughout the colony. The bait contains an ingredient that stops the molting process, so termites can't grow. Over time, the whole colony dies.
After the colony is eliminated an APM professional continues to monitor, detecting the presence of any new termite activity that might try to invade your home.
