Get Involved With American Pest And Partners For Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Join American Pest in the fight against breast cancer by raising awareness about this disease.

As the second most diagnosed cancer among women,  October has been set aside as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The goal is to educate people on how they may help prevent or detect a possible diagnosis before it's too late!

American Pest  is proud to announce our continued partnership with Breast Care for Washington, an organization dedicated to providing breast cancer screenings and care throughout D.C.'s area—the highest mortality rate among all regions nationwide can be attributed mainly because of early detection which helps fight back against this deadly disease!

How American Pest Is Raising Funds and Awareness This October

As in years past, there are various efforts American Pest, and its employees will be repeating to raise awareness. For example, wearing pink throughout the month, sharing information and statistics through its social channels, and collecting employee donations. Furthermore, new American Pest customers have the opportunity to be a part of the battle against breast cancer with the option to round up the cost of their initial service to the amount of their choice.

But wait, that's not all!

American Pest is partnering with Decadent-a dessert bar in Maple Lawn, MD. Decadent —The Best Bakery of Howard County for 2020, 2021, and 2022— will be serving pink cupcakes all month and donating their profits to Breast Care for Washington as well, which American Pest will match at the end of the month.

Also, the pest professionals of American Pest will have the option of visiting one of the 4 offices in Fulton, Springfield, Richmond, or Charlottesville and “Pick a Duck” to determine a donation amount that will be made on behalf of them.

Last but certainly not least, you can support by donating through the landing page they created with highlights from years past and more information on their teams' efforts.

All donated funds collected from American Pest, their pest professionals, and customers will go directly to Breast Care for Washington, a community-centered screening organization that assists medically underserved women by providing no-cost mammograms, healthcare education, clinical breast examinations, and patient navigation services. Breast Care for Washington also has the only 3D mammography facility providing direct services within a community health clinic setting.
